The Process

Choosing a Photo

Full body portraits can work, but some can take away from the focal point, which is the face.

Pose

Poses that are in motion/action, don’t make good portraits. The picture should also be in focus.

Picture Quality

A good shot of the face, either head-on or 3/4 view, is the best for a portrait. The coloring also should be as close to accurate as possible.

Face

Painting

Once we decide together on the photo I will be using, I will paint the portrait, frame it, and send it out to you.

Framing

The portrait will be framed using a white frame with a white mat, or a black frame with a white mat. We will choose which looks best with the portrait colors.

The portrait is 8x10 in an 11x14 frame.

Shipping

A sealed cardboard box wrapped with 'Fragile' and 'Handle with Care' tape, resting on a dark surface.

Once the portrait is completed, you will be notified of shipping. Shipping within the US is included in the price.
